Sanabria is not only outstanding for its lake, but we can find throughout the region dozens of lagoons of glacial origin, distributed by various mountainous areas. The Laguna de los Peces, with glacier origin, is the highest place in the Nature Park and can be reached by road what makes it one of the most visited places. In the months of winters it maintains a spectacular landscape, we find it frosty and with snow most of the months.
It is one of the starting points of many hiking routes that we can carry out in the area.
You can reach it by car and there is a parking space where you can leave your vehicle. To get there you have to cross San Martín de Castañeda and follow the ascent by a very steep road, where we find some viewpoints with spectacular views of the lake and the area.
